Industry Coach Health City has partnered with TEC Edmonton and PRI.MED Medical Devices on a new program called Industry Coach, designed to help medical device companies accelerate product validation and customer access. The free mentorship program is open to all growth-stage medical device companies in the Edmonton region. What’s involved Industry Coach helps close the gap between innovators and industry by providing customized industry mentorship to the right companies at the right time. Successful applicants will receive 12 months of mentorship for various stages of product development and commercialization to accelerate their business. Program mentorship is provided by Guy Plamondon, founding director of PRI.MED Medical Products Inc. Prior to becoming a founding partner, the former President and CEO of PRI.MED worked within the surgical and medical service industry with Johnson & Johnson and Baxter International. Guy is now committed to concentrating on the product development and manufacturing of PPE, including Canada’s top selling line of surgical masks. The goal of the program is to help medical device companies accelerate product validation and customer access.
