NAIT student Emer Burke’s Guardian Angel car seat was a provincial finalist in the Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta’s capstone project of the year competition. Edmonton-based Atlas Biotechnologies Inc. announced it got the green light for Atlas Growers Denmark A/S, allowing the company to grow medical cannabis in Denmark for the Danish Medicine Agency. University of Alberta neurologist Jack Jhamandas published research in Scientific Reports about the discovery of two short peptides that improved memory when injected into mice with Alzheimer’s disease.
