More than 300 prion researchers gathered in Edmonton for the four-day PRION 2019 conference. Alberta Innovates announced funding for the Cancer Screening Research and Innovation Opportunity Program. Edmonton-based Atlas Biotechnologies and Harvard Global Health Catalyst out of the Harvard Medical School are partnering on the new International Phytomedicines and Medical Cannabis Institute at Harvard for medical pot research. Events June 17 and 18 – The Canadian Cytometry and Microscopy Association will host its next conference at the University of Alberta.
