• The Canadian Medical Association Journal’s podcast spoke to Andrew MacIsaac of Applied Pharmaceutical Innovation (API) about what can be done to fix drug shortages in Canada, including the creation of the Canadian Critical Drug Initiative. ”(What) we’re really working to do is build steady-state, small-scale production with the ability to ramp up if there is a shortage, and have that established and the ability to pivot and be responsive to the needs of the health care system,” he said.
• Startup TNT shared the video of Validating Your HealthTech with Health Cities, a conversation with Reg Joseph to help health entrepreneurs test their ideas.
• The Health Innovation Hub is looking for volunteers for its Picnic in the Park networking event, happening in Hawrelak Park on July 14.
• Registration is now open for the Public Sector Network’s Health and Human Services event on Nov. 22, at which Health Cities CEO Reg Joseph is among the speakers.
• Health Cities and Invest Alberta are jointly looking to hire an investment advisor in health and life sciences.
• Applied Pharmaceutical Innovation (API) released a short video from Micheal Guirguis, director of clinical pharmacology and data, on how the organization aims to help innovators.
• As part of its Alberta Innovates Digital Traction Grant, Calgary-based MindFull Solutions is looking for people to fill out a survey to understand how movement metrics can be shared with people to make informed decisions about how they move their bodies.
