Learn more Here are some highlights from this week’s Health Innovation Roundup: Local headlines Three separate research projects were announced as the winners of the 2019 Novo Nordisk Alberta Diabetes (NOVAD) Fund Competition on Thursday at Inventure$ 2019. Ceapro Inc. started patient recruitment on a study to look at Beta Glucan as a cholesterol-lowering agent. Alberta Boehringer Ingelheim Collaboration — a partnership between Boehringer Ingelheim, the University of Alberta Hospital Foundation, and the Government of Alberta — is accepting proposals for health innovation projects to address treatment gaps of COPD. Up to $300,000 for three projects will be distributed. Events June 18 – Avenue Magazine is hosting an Innovation Event.
