About the Session

Join us in Calgary on May 4 at The Rooftop YYC for a morning of insightful conversation on the power of personal health data and its potential to revolutionize healthcare. With the increasing popularity of digital health apps and wearable technology, individuals can now easily collect and track their health data, from exercise and sleep patterns to heart rate and blood pressure. 

The panel will explore the impact of personal health data on healthcare, highlighting its potential to empower individuals to take a more proactive role in their health while enabling healthcare providers to deliver more personalized and effective care.

Danika has a strong history of leadership excellence in the social innovation space, winning awards and recognition from Telus and The Future of Good, FemTech Analytics, Alberta Women Entrepreneurs, and more.

Gena Rotstein

Principal, Karma & Cents - Social Impact Lab

Gena Rotstein, FEA, MA, is one of Canada’s leading experts in Social Enterprise and Philanthropy. She is the founder of Dexterity Consulting, North America’s largest charity search engine, Dexterity Ventures Inc., and venture philanthropy fund Place2Give Foundation. Gena is an active member of the community, serving on the boards of Rotary Calgary Stampede Park, CivicTechYYC, WINKCalgary, and Sponsor Energy. In September 2017, Gena launched along with Richard Ouellette Karma & Cents Inc. – A Social Impact Lab working with single and multi-family offices in designing impact driven legacy and philanthropy plans.

Maria Savidov is the Manager of Analysis & Evaluation at Bissell Centre, where she leads the team in answering the question “are we moving the needle on poverty?” With a background in psychology, Maria is passionate about data culture and collaboration, transforming the organization’s relationship with data while maintaining an ethical and client-centered approach.

Shaneel Pathak

Co-Founder and CEO, Zamplo

Shaneel Pathak is the founder of Zamplo, a digital health company that empowers patients to be at the center of their health journey. He is also an Alberta Representative on the National SPOR-PIHCI committee and co-authored the Declaration of Personal Health Data Rights in Canada. With a degree in Computer Engineering and a Master’s in Political Economy, Shaneel is a glider pilot and avid traveler, living in Calgary with his wife, Sara and schnoodle.
